The annotations included on this page Transcription: The age of this Pyramid is unknown. Some scholars consider it the oldest structure in the world attributing it to King Unenephes of Ist Dynasty. Others think it was built after the Pyramids of Gizeh. It is built with six steps and is about 200ft. High. It is unlike the others in that its base is oblong and not square and it does not face the principal points of the compass. Little is known of its use. Two of its chambers were lined with a mosaic of green fayence. Some of the glazed green bricks can be seen in the Museum at Berlin carried there by Lepsius.
