English: Queensland Government paddle steamer Kate with the two-masted sail-steamer Black Swan ahead of her at Gladstone, Queensland, circa 1870.

This photo shows a view across the bay over ships docked at Auckland Creek, Gladstone, possibly near the Henry Friend General Store (Not shown in this photo). See also negative numbers 189112 and 112221.

The Black Swan was owned by the Australasian Steam Navigation Company.
