Norwegian named town in the Burnett River country of central Queensland. The area was first settled in 1848 by the Scottish Archer brothers, Charles and Thomas, who migrated to Australia from Norway, to where their parents had moved in 1825. Hotel situated at St. John's Creek, near Mt. Target, Coonambula. Owned by the Barnes family and run as a boarding house, many of the Barnes family are pictured in front of the building.
