| Description |
English: South Tuckswood Shops, Ipswich Road, Norwich These shops, with maisonettes above, were built to service the new South Tuckswood estate in the early 1950s. The left and centre bays were originally a general grocery store, 'Harford Hall Stores', and the right bay was a butchery shop. In the 1960s, the single storey chemists was built to the left of the main block, and was called Garroods, after the name of the chemist. The chemist's is now a Natural Health pharmacy, and the main block has a fashion clothing boutique in the left and centre bays, and a chinese takeaway in the right bay. The farmworkers' cottages left from Harford Hall Farm can just be seen to the right of the shops. |
