Title
English: Snoqualmie Falls, ca. 1885
Description
English: Many photographers have tried to capture the beauty of Snoqualmie Falls. Sometime in the mid-1880s, Seattle photographer Theodore Peiser set up his camera on the rocks below the falls and snapped this broad image. At the same time, a painter (lower left center) has set up his easel, and is painting the scene. Neither Snoqualmie Falls Lodge nor the nearby hydroelectric plant had been built at this time.
