Description
English: Sign for the Rattlebone Inn A legendary local hero, John Rattlebone, He was attacked by marauding Danes centuries ago and mortally wounded in the stomach. He clutched a tile to his body to prevent blood gushing forth and fought on to the bitter end. The sign captures the gruesomeness of the story.
