| Description |
English: In the first printing of the Shulchan Aruch with the comments of the RAMA, from year 1578, the title of ch.605 was preserved, as originally given by Rabbi Yosef Karo. "The custom of Kapparot on the eve of Yom Kippur is a nonsensical custom". Future printings have censored and removed the reference to "nonsensical custom". עברית: בהדפסה הראשונה של שלחן ערוך, אורח חיים, עם הגהות הרמ"א, משנת ה'של"ח, נכתב בכותרת של סימן תר"ה: "מנהג כפרות בערב יום כפור מנהג של שטות הוא". הרמ"א חלק על דעת השו"ע אך לא שינה את הכותרת. בהדפסות מאוחרות יותר, כולל כל ההדפסות בימינו, זייפו את הכותרת והסירו את המלים "מנהג של שטות הוא". י |
