Summary[edit]

Description
English: September 1, 2016.Excavations at Gird-i Kazhaw (an ancient mound or tell; 3000-2000 BCE), Shahrizor Plain, Sulaymaniyah Governorate, Iraqi Kurdistan. The mound was registered in 1947. Excavations started in 2015 and carried out by the University of Munich, Germany. Two pillars of a Sassanian building near the mound appear.
