Summary[edit]

Description

Page 110 of brochure Seattle and the Orient (1900). This page consists of a text plus two photos captioned respectively as:

  • Upper: "Residence of Geo. M. Stewart."
  • Lower: "The residence just completed of J. W. Clise, Highland Drive, Queen Anne Hill."

I know nothing about Stewart, nor where this house might have been.

Clise famously arrived in Seattle the day after the Great Seattle Fire and immediately began a real estate business that survives to this day. The house, formerly at [128 Highland Drive]http://qahistory.org/Postcards/target1.html (corner of Warren), has been replaced.
