Summary[edit]

Description Page 75 of brochure Seattle and the Orient (1900). This page includes text plus a photo captioned "Interior main store of Seattle Hardware Co." Seattle Hardware Co. had several buildings over the years. This would not be the seven storey building at First Avenue South and South King Street (built 1904–1905; that building survives as of 2007; the company does not); some details in Image:Seattle Hardware Co. - 1900.jpg would suggest strongly that this is the building at 819-823 First Avenue mentioned in the caption of Downtown Seattle looking north from James Street, Seattle, ca. 1900 in the University of Washington Libraries Digital Collections (assuming that the two pictures show the same building).
