Summary[edit]

Description

Page 60 of brochure Seattle and the Orient (1900). This page includes text plus a group of three photos with decorative background, collectively captioned "A group of Seattle Manufactories."

The pictures are also individually captioned. Clockwise from upper left:

  • Seattle Cracker and Candy Company
  • Crescent Manufacturing Company
  • J.E. Fox Saw Company
The Seattle Cracker and Candy Company and Seattle Cracker and Candy Company were apparently at opposite ends of a block on Occidental Avenue (the block that is now Occidental Mall); J.E. Fox was a few blocks away. See the individual photos for further discussion.

The photos are individually available as Image:Seattle Cracker and Candy Company - 1900.jpg, Image:Seattle - Crescent Manufacturing Company - 1900.jpg, and Image:Seattle - J.E. Fox Saw Company - 1900.jpg. The J.E. Fox photo is more heavily doctored to deal with its missing upper right corner.
