Summary[edit]

Description One of two photos collectively captioned as "A charming Beacon Hill residence," from brochure Seattle and the Orient (1900). The picture is additionally captioned "Residence of G.W. Stetson". Polk's Seattle City Directory 1899 (Polk's Seattle Directory Co., 1899), p. 921 gives Stetson's address as 1231 13th Ave. S. The photo has had a bit of manipulation to provide a background at upper right, since this corner is cut off in the original layout.

The individual photos are Image:Seattle - G.W. Stetson residence - 1900 - exterior.jpg and Image:Seattle - G.W. Stetson residence - 1900 - interior.jpg. The exterior photo has had a bit of manipulation to provide a background at upper right, since this corner is cut off in the original layout. The interior photo is of relatively low quality; that is the case in the brochure itself.
