NORTH COLLEGE. SCHOOL OF LAW, School of Law. The design of this School is to furnish a complete course of legalinstruction for persons intending to practice at the bar in any stateof the union. The plan of instruction includes the principles of con-stitutional law, international law, mercantile law, the law of con-tracts, corporations, insurance, torts, domestic relations, real-propertylaw, equity jurisprudence, etidence, pleading and practice, andcriminal jurisprudence. Experience proves that the principles of law are best taught whenthose methods are followed which have been found most successfulin teaching the sciences. Instruction is therefore given by daily reci-tations upon assigned portions of text-books and leading cases, thedrill of the recitation room being supplemented by lectures. The complete course includes two years, each of which occupieseight and one-half months (excluding two weeks recess at Christ-mas). The first term for the year 1898-99 will begin on Wednesday,the
