Summary[edit]

Description
English: The site of the church of San Jose de Placer in Iloilo City, Philippines, was set up in 1690 and its main structure was constructed, rebuilt, and improved over the centuries. The belfries were built by Ilonggo laborers in the 1890s. This church is the site of the annual 'religious sadsad', or religious merry-making every January during the celebration of the Dinagyang Festival in Iloilo City. It is located in front of the Plaza Libertad, formerly known as Plaza Alfonso XII, after the Spanish king.
