Description
English: Salzach Valley, Oberpinzgau, Salzburg (state), Austria, seen from the Gerlos Street between Krimml and Hochkrimml. On the left side of the valley the Kitzbüheler Alps, on the right side the Hohe Tauern.
Deutsch: Das Oberpinzgauer Salzachtal von der Gerlos-Straße zwischen Krimml und Hochkrimml fotografiert. Die felsige Anhöhe etwa in der Bildmitte ist der Falkenstein, ein prähistorischer Siedlungsplatz, auf dem heute ein (auf dem Bild sichtbares) Gasthaus steht. Dahinter sieht man den Ort Wald im Pinzgau. Auf der orografisch linken Talseite wird das Tal durch die Kitzbüheler Alpen, auf der rechten Seite von den Hohen Tauern begrenzt.
