DescriptionSalnica proekt Kene.gif	Українська: Питання про затвердження нового сальницького герба поставив перед Герольдією барон Б.Кене. Щоправда, його проект, схвалений Сенатом, але не занесений до Повного зібрання законів Російської імперії, цілком відрізнявся від герба 1607 року, що було пов'язано з фактичною втратою Сальницею її значення як фортеці в нових історичних умовах. Новий герб репрезентував місто суто з "господарської" точки зору як осередок вівчарства: "На червоному тлі золота відірвана бараняча голова з червоними очима та язиком. У вільному куті щита герб Подільської губернії. Щит увінчано червоною міською короною з трьома зубцями й обрамлено двома золотими колосками, з'єднаними Олександрівською стрічкою"
