DescriptionQueen from Notre-Dame de Corbeil - detail.jpg |
English: Detail of the XII-century statue of "a queen", now in the Louvre, removed from the facade of Collegiate Church Notre-Dame, in Corbeil.[1]
Alexandre Lenoir identified her in Clotilde, which was the second wife of the Frankish king Clovis I and is worshipped as saint by the Catholic Church. This identity is no more considered correct; the statue might depict the Queen of Sheba.
