The PRT has, over the course of the year, conducted over 800 convoys conducting highly successful counterinsurgency operations in the hostile environment of Khost, Afghanistan, often facing numerous threats of suicide bombers and IED's. Cmdr. Dave Adams, commanding officer, Lt. Rob Holt, executive officer, Lt. Cmdr Bob Traeder, PRT Engineer, Chief Patrick Flynn, intelligence officer, and Chief David Keelan, communications department head are among those awarded the Bronze Star Medal. | |||||||
