Description A U.S. Navy sailor removes securing lines and clamps in preparation for launching a Mark XIII torpedo from a Higgins-class motor torpedo (PT) boat operating from the Subchaser Training Center, Miami, Florida (USA), circa 1944. He is wearing bathing trunks, life jacket and steel helmet.
The photograph was received by the Naval Photographic Science Laboratory on 16 November 1945.
