Description

愛媛県 西条市 の祭礼「西条祭り」より／

夜になり提灯で飾られただんじり。

１台につき100個以上の提灯が使用され、提灯は現在でもかならず蝋燭で灯される。

これは西条の祭り人の誇りでもあり、またその担ぎ屋台ゆえの独特の揺れに呼応して

明滅する幻想的な美しさは他の祭礼ではおそらくこの西条の屋台のほかに類を見ないものがある。
