English: The founding congress of Social Democratic Party of Finland, Turku, July 1899.
Suomi: Suomen Työväenpuolueen eli nykyisen SDP:n perustavan kokouksen osallistujia Turussa heinäkuussa 1899.
Pöydän ääressä J.V. Hellberg, N.R. af Ursin ja J.K. Kari. Taavi Tainio 4. vasemmalta. K.F. Hellsten istuu Tainion edessä. Hjalmar Branting istuu Hellstenin vieressä oikealla. Istumassa ovat Aappo Käärmekangas (Ursinista 2. oikealle), Otto Tiuppa (Käärmekankaasta 2. oikealle), Ida Aalle-Teljo (Tiupasta oikealle) ja Seth Heikkilä (Aalle-Teljosta oikealle). Eetu Salin on Heikkilän takana, Matti Kurikka Salinista 2. vasemmalle, A. Palmroos seisomassa J.K.Karista oikealle, J. Jokinen Palmroosin takana, Santeri Ingman hattu päässä Palmroosin vieressä (tieto: H. Soikkanen, Kohti kansanvaltaa), A.B. Mäkelä Ingmanin takana, K.A. Leino oikealla airueiden välissä. Matti Hokka lienee Jokisen ja Mäkelän välissä (toinen mahdollisuus: toiseksi takimmainen rivi). Alex Järvenpää on Ursinista suoraan ylöspäin 3. rivissä, August (Veli) Vatanen on ylärivissä 5. oikealta, Yrjö Mäkelin ylärivissä 2. oikealta. A.H. Karvonen eturivissä Brantingista 2. oikealla ja Oskari Lähde Käärmekankaan takana. Matti Vuolukka saattaisi olla Tainion vasemmalla puolella ja Matti Saarinen Järvenpään oikealla puolella.

This photograph is in the public domain in Finland, because either a period of 50 years has elapsed from the year of creation or the photograph was first published before 1966. The section 49a of the Finnish Copyright Act (404/1961, amended 607/2015) specifies that photographs not considered to be "works of art" become public domain 50 years after they were created. The 50 years from creation protection period came into force in 1991. Before that the protection period was 25 years from the year of first publication according to the §16 of the law of protection of photographs of 1961. Material already released to public domain according to the 1961 law remains in public domain, and therefore all photographs (but not photographic works of art) released before 1966 are in the public domain.
