Description
Eesti: Joonisel on kujutatud rrn operonide asukoht Escherichia coli genoomis. rrn operonid on kujutatud siniste nooltena, mis näitavad transkriptsiooni kulgemise suunda, ning suurtähed märgivad konkreetse rrn operoni asukohta. OriC märgib replikatsiooni alguspunkti ning punased nooleotsad kujutavad replikatsiooni kulgemise kahesuunalisust. ter ja sellele vastav punane nooleots märgivad replikatsiooni lõpp-punkti. Escherichia coli genoom koosneb umbes 4,6 megaaluspaarist, samas kui rrn operonid moodustavad sellest vähem kui ühe protsendi, sest võtavad enda alla vaid umbes 38 kiloaluspaari. Joonise mõõtmed ei vasta tegelikkusele.
