These permanent walls may also be constructedof tiling, mosaic, or of brick and finished in plasterthat becomes hard, smooth and polished. The floor should be laid of a design to correspondwith the circular form of the vestibule, (See Fig, 28)^ The ceiling is usually constructed of two piecesof flat marble, extending from one curved wall tothe other, the lower surface to be quite fiat and cylin-dricaily true with the fJoor and walls, A slot must be made in the marble ceiling forthe kingbolt, from which the four wings are suspended,and sufficient room must beprovided above the ceilingfor the trolley- The wings may be made of bronze, wood or steel as may be desired. DESCRIPTION The two curved walls are usuallymade of marble either in large segmentalsections and broken joints as shown inFig. 28 (also the left wall of Fig. 29).
