most members ofthe genus Molgula and agrees with Molgula (Pera) chrys-tallma* Moller, from which species, however, it differstotally in external appearance and in the condition ofthe test. The dorsal tubercle (PL XIIL, fig. 6) is in that in-teresting, simple condition which I first described! in thecases of Molgula pijriformis and Eiigyra kerguelenensis, and which has since been found in the case of several otherspecies. The alimentary canal is very long, and is closely foldedupon itself throughout the whole length (PI. XIIL, fig.2, i.). The stomach is very far forward, and the doubleintestinal loop is bent ventrally anteriorly and thendorsally. * For a description of this species see Traustedt, Vid. Medd. Xat.
