Description
English: In the year 1974 a few like-minded people started to think to set up a platform to propagate, foster and preserve traditional forms of Indian Art & Culture as they could perceive that these were being slowly wiped out by the apparent grandeurous but dangerous inflow of westernised culture amongst the people of the Indian Society through all powerful Electronic Media. This thinking took a shape and ultimately started to function in the name and style SARBABHARATIYA SANGEET -O- SANSKRITI PARISHAD (SSSP) since 23rd January 1976 from a rented house at Jadu Mitra Lane, Kolkata, subsequently shifted to Ramratan Basu Road, Kolkata. Late Pandit Sukhendu Goswami suggested the name. Since then, it started affiliating Training Centres in different parts of India where the student were being tutored in various streams of Indian Art and Culture.
