Summary[edit]

Description There is only one species of the Venus flytrap but there are many different forms and mutations in cultivation. In this one the plant has taken on a deep red colouration and the "teeth" on the edge of the trap have become small and pointed like those of a Piranha - hence its name. Is that just nectar running down from the teeth on the upper jaw? Or is it blood? Well a plants got to eat hasn't he.
