Description
Nederlands: Rapenburg 65 in Leiden - Bronzen plaquette van de VVSL (Vereniging van Vrouwelijke Studenten in Leiden. Tekst: "Hier was het ons huis, onze tuin, onze staat. En ons werk. Dat onvervaard verder gaat. Vereniging van Vrouwelijke Studenten te Leiden, 1900-1972." Jacqueline Ravelli ontwierp deze gevelsteen ter gelegenheid van het achttiende lustrum van de VVSL, de studentenvereniging voor vrouwen die opging in Minerva. In 1990 werd het werk onthuld aan de voorgevel van Rapenburg 65.
Deze foto laat de bronzen plaquette zien nadat die in 2012 ernstig beschadigd werd door de schoonmakers van het ITC (tegenwoordige gebruikers van Rapenburg 65) die in opdracht het brons een stevige borstelbeurt gaven en daarmee het patina wegpoetsten en bovendien de muur rondom de sculptuur met witte vlekken achterlieten.
