| Description |
This is located at Sandaig (Camusfearna) on Scotland's West Coast close to where naturalist writer Gavin Maxwell wrote the book "Ring of Bright Water" - and others - about his life here with otters. In 1968 Maxwell's house was completely burned down in a devastating fire. That Night it was necessary for Maxwell, his companions and surviving otter to take refuge in this cottage as this is a remote spot and there was nowhere also to go. |
