Workers in a lathe in Bosanska Jagodina

Summary[edit]

Description
English: Strugara in Bosanska Jagodina was built in 1927, and is closely connected with the exploitation of the forest in Zaovljanski Kos above Visegrad. Prometna banka bought the local forest from private individuals in 1921/22 for the sake of a factory in Belgrade. We know that the project of the turner with all the additional installations was made by the engineer Miloš Savčić. Strugara was one of the few companies in that part of Bosnia where peasants could be employed and provide for themselves and their families.
