Summary[edit]
DescriptionROK soldiers, US Marines execute non-lethal weapons training 140620-M-GX711-251.jpg |
English: Republic of Korea soldiers and U.S. Marines move together in formation June 20 during integrated non-lethal weapons training as part of Korean Marine Exchange Program 14-8 at the 1st ROK Marine Division base in Pohang. The training familiarized the ROK soldiers and U.S. Marines with non-lethal munitions and helped improve their crowd control tactics. KMEP 14-8 is a combined, small-unit training exercise, which enhances the combat readiness and interoperability of ROK and U.S. military forces. The exercise also highlights the two countries’ combined commitment to the defense of South Korea and peace and security in the region. The ROK Army soldiers are with Military Police Company, 2nd Operational Command. The Marines are with 4th Law Enforcement Battalion, Force Headquarters Group, Marine Forces Reserve.
