Coptic. Doublue boards made from papyrus (D. Cockerell 1932 p. 10). Szirmai "the sheets of papyrus for the boards were made up to twice the size of the book, folded like a quire and sewn through the fold, hence the attachment forms an integral part of the sewing" & " with two single leather thongs at the top and bottom and three on the front edge of the upper cover and three simple metal rings anchored with short leather straps in the corresponding
