Português: 03/07/2015 - Comenda Padre Belchior - Pitangui

O senador Antonio Anastasia recebeu na sexta-feira (03/07) em Pitangui, na região Centro-Oeste do Estado, a Comenda Padre Belchior Pinheiro de Oliveira, a maior homenagem prestada pelo Executivo do Município. Anastasia foi ainda o orador oficial da cerimônia.

O nome do senador foi escolhido pelo Conselho Permanente da Medalha por unanimidade.

A comenda foi instituída pelo decreto 461/2002 com o objetivo de distinguir pessoas físicas ou jurídicas, de ilibada conduta e elevado padrão ético, que pelos serviços ou méritos excepcionais prestados ao município tenham se tornado merecedoras do especial reconhecimento do povo de Pitangui. Para os moradores da cidade, Padre Belchior é um dos exemplos de representação, amor e entrega dos ideais pitanguienses.

Além de Anastasia, outras 19 pessoas receberam a comenda, dentre elas o ex-governador Alberto Pinto Coelho, o prefeito de Belo Horizonte, Marcio Lacerda, o ex-deputado Duílio de Castro e o atual secretário de Transporte e Obras Públicas de Minas Gerais, Murilo Valadares.
