English: Prays oleae. Steps of growing of Olive moth larva (carpophagous generation)
Legend: 1: End of June: the larva leaves the egg and penetrate in the small olive; 2: July: the larva grows feeding the seed; the endocarp is not yet thick and hard; 3: First half of August: endocarp of olive is thick and hard; the larva grows inside the seed; 4: September: larva instar V leaves the olive digging a tunnel by the insertion of the petiole. This will causes falling of olive. Italiano: Prays oleae. Fasi dell'accrescimento della larva di Tignola dell'olivo (generazione carpofaga) Legenda: 1: Fine giugno: la larva esce dall'uovo e penetra nell'olivina; 2: Luglio: la larva cresce nutrendosi del semme; l'endocarpo non è ancora indurito; 3: Prima metà di Agosto: l'endocarpo dell'oliva è lignificato; la larva cresce all'interno del seme; 4: Settembre: la larva matura abbandona l'oliva scavando un tunnel nel punto di inserzione del peduncolo. Ciò causerà la caduta dell'oliva. |
