Description
English: Portrait of James Francis Edward Stuart, Prince of Wales (1688-1766), with the British orders of the Garter and the Thistle, misidentified with Victor Amadeus II of Savoy (1666-1732).
  • Identification proposed by user Ecummenic (talk) based on the comparison with some portraits of Prince James (see images below) and the lack of physical resemblance of the sitter of this portrait to verified representations of Victor Amadeus.
