Summary[edit]

Description
English: Built in 1956, this Modern International-style building was designed by Robert E. Buchner to serve as a branch of the Ponca City Savings and Loan, a bank. The building complex consists of two structures, with the larger structure, set back deeply from the street, containing a parking garage, with a glass-enclosed office on the second floor, and the remains of a drive-through bank canopy on the first floor, concrete panels, butterfly concrete roofs, a butterfly concrete canopy connecting the front of the structure with Boston Avenue, and painted brick cladding. The other building is a smaller structure that directly fronts Boston Avenue, which features a green stone panel-clad facade, ribbon windows, and a central glass entrance pavilion with clerestory windows. The building is a contributing structure in the Oil Capital Historic District, listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2010. Following a restoration in 2013-2014, the building became home to the Tulsa Center for Architecture and Design and The Vault Restaurant.
