Notes

8 medallions on the bowl of the chalice depicts the Annunciation, the Nativity, the Adoration of the Magi, the Flight into Egypt (scenes divided in two medallions). The base was adorned with Crucified Christ on Y-shaped cross and effigies of prophets holding a banderole with their name.

The paten was decorated with Christ Pantocrator in the center and effigies of Konrad of Masovia, his wife Agafia and two sons - Ziemowit and Casimir. The chalice and paten were created as an act of reparation for killing the canon of Płock Jan Czapla in 1239, for which the Prince was excommunicated by Pope Gregory IX.
