Description
Deutsch: Nach einer Dürre und dem folgenden Wassermangel in Piran im Jahre 1775 wurde auf dem Alten Platz (heute Platz des 1. Mai) eine große Zisterne errichtet. An der rechten Seite der südliche Treppe steht eine allegorische Statue der Gesetzmäßigkeit. Auf der linken Seite der Statue sitzt ein steinernes Huhn.
English: In 1775 after a drought and following shortage of water in Piran a cistern was constructed on the Old Square (today´s 1st of May Square). At the right of stairs in the south there is an allegoric statue of Legality. At the left side of the statue there is a sitting hen of stone.
