St. John's College Chapel. The square tower (142 feet high) of this beautiful building presents a pretty picture viewed across the water from the grounds of Trinity College. The Chapel is a fine example of Early Gothic Decorated architecture, and was designed by the late Sir Gilbert Scott. Dr. Garrett was organist here for many years, during which time he wrote most of the church music for which he is famous.
