Text Appearing Before Image:
er cheek when onecheek has already been smitten leads to death and oblivion. The only species of humanor animal life that have continued their existence indefinitely have done so largelythrough their ability to fight. You have a fight on your hands every day of your life. There is a fight going on within you continually between disease and health, betweenlife and death. You have to fight continuously to protect yourself, your home, or thosewhom you hold most dear. Life is a continuous warfare, and only the best fighters winthe highest and greatest rewards. The fighting instinct represents our desire to protectour own. It is not unusual or unnatural. It is a positive necessity. If you do notprotect yourself, if you do not fight for yourself and those who depend, on you, you willhave to bear needless suffering. You will be trampled on and crushed beyond all hopein the strenuous fight for success and happiness and for all those things that are sup-posed to bring rewards of this character.
