English: I am at the theatre of the Simon Cabaret in Phuket, Thailand, another of the island's must sees after the Phuket FantaSea. (see previous pictures earlier in this album). Photography during the Simon Cabaret show is not allowed but the performers do line up afterwards near the exit after the show for selfies. Be aware though that there is a fee of Thb 100 each per dancer, so if you pose with two, you have to pay Thb 200 etc. All the performers in the show are ladyboys or katoeys. Although I was disappointed that the two ladyboy dancers who posed with me were without those outlandish costumes, it would have taken me several minutes to fight my way past the scores of people lining up to pose with some of these chaps in costume- ladies and families always have priority over a solo traveler! I therefore decided to do the next best thing- pose with the dancers who are without costume and so less in demand and later shoot from a distance the more elaborately costumed ones. The world famous Simon Cabaret of Phuket, Thailand is a sheer extravaganza of dazzling costumes, colour and fantastic music. Every single one of the dancers is a ladyboy. ( without an intention to be insulting or rude, ladyboy= bakla / six/ hemaphrodite/ Hijra). A trio of Japanese youth who were sitting next to me were all ga ga over the pretty impressive show.
