The auctions notes told us that the two women sitting were probably Peter Ilsted's mother, Johanne Sophie (to the left) and his wife, Ingeborg (to the right). Standing at the table were (left to right) Ilsted's father, Jens Peter, the artist's sister Ida and Ida's husband, the painter Vilhelm Hammershøi. Peter Ilsted is standing to the right with pipe and glass in his hands.
