Summary[edit]

Description

Three iterations of three separate fractal series, each of which starts from a regular pentagon.

  • On top (red): Fractal shapes derived by iteratively placing five smaller pentagons (in inverse color) along the edges of a pentagon (inside it).
  • In the middle (green): fractal shapes derived by iteratively replacing a pentagon with six smaller pentagons (one central, five peripheral).
  • At bottom (blue): fractal shapes derived by iteratively replacing a pentagon with six smaller pentagons, where the five peripheral smaller pentagons are the same color, while the central smaller pentagon is inverse color.
