Description

This photo was taken in the context of a three-week study tour in August 1976 in the People's Republic of China . At the excursion participated 24 members of the Department of Spatial Planning of the University of Dortmund. The decoration and the security of the hall was changed considerably two weeks later, as Mao Zedong died on 9 September 1976.


The Chinese travel agency proposed us a route, which took us to the cities Guangzhou, Shanghai , Nanjing, Xian , Chengchow , Hsinhsiang and Beijing . We also visited several people's communes in various parts of the country
