Dansk: En sølvmedalje givet til prærieindianere, der gjorde byttehandler i Fort Union, North Dakota. Forsiden viser John Jacob Astor, skaberen af American Fur Company, mens bagsiden er inspireret af den officielle ”Freds- og venskabsmedalje” uddelt til indianske ledere af amerikanske præsidenter. Fra 1832 eller 1833
English: A silver medal of the American Fur Company to Plains Indians trading at Fort Union, North Dakota. Obverse: Profile of John Jacob Astor and the text PRESIDENT OF THE AMERICAN FUR COMPANY. Reverse: The text PEACE AND FRIENDSHIP and a crossed tomahawk and calumet above and below, inspired by the official ”Peace and Friendship” medals given to Indian delegates by the presidents of the United States. Diameter: 66 mm. Struck 1832 or 1833.
