Paul Innocent is an English Actor who was born on 6th July, 1961 in Bromley, London. Although of Jamaican heritage, Paul was fostered out to a Caucasian family at 12 days of age and attended Trosnant Infant School and Trosnant Junior School before attending Oak Park Comprehensive School in Portsmouth, Hampshire. At 9 years of age, he cast was in a school production of The Three Wise Men and immediately awoken people of Portsmouth to his talent. At 14 years of age, he started collecting audiences for his 'sports and athletic' skills - Predominantly, the 100 metre sprint and subsequently became the 100 metre sprinting champion for his school and soon his athletic triumphs expanded to him becoming the 100 metre sprinting champion for Southern Hampshire. At 19 years of age whilst working as a ledger clerk, he decided to take evening classes in drama at Highbury Technical College in Portsmouth under the tuition of 'Betty Lavington.' Within 18 months, he'd won a three year scholarship to The Webber-Douglas Academy Of Dramatic Art in London.

After graduating from the Webber-Douglas Academy in 1985, Paul's first professional job came in the role of 'Israel Hands' in TREASURE ISLAND at Edinburgh's Royal Lyceum Repertory Theatre. This was swiftly followed up by roles such as 'Aide Williams' in ONE FLEW OVER THE CUCKOO'S NEST at the Nottingham Playhouse Repertory Theatre - The role of 'Jim' in PLAYBOY OF THE WEST INDIES at the Manchester Contact Repertory Theatre working with the likes of Treva Etienne, Louis Emerick and Sharon D. Clarke.(The show was loosely based on Sean O. Casey's play "Playboy of the Western World") - Paul then headed off to London' s West End to understudy Eamonn Walker in the lead role of 'Barnaby' in a production of BARNABY AND THE OLD BOYS at The Vaudeville Repertory Theatre on The Strand where he also got to work with the likes of Jill Gascoine and Tara Moran.

Film and Television soon beckoned Paul to its doors - In 1987, he went on to win the small role of 'Toqau' in Richard Attenborough's biopic CRY FREEDOM. In 1989, he was once again cast opposite his good friend Eamonn Walker in the television series THE BILL. In 1991, he won the role of 'Jake', a small role in Isaac Julien's music based film YOUNG SOUL REBELS - This was swiftly followed up by him winning the role of 'Lee', a minor role in Newton Aduaka's film RAGE. In 2001, Anji Carroll cast Paul in the television series LONDON'S BURNING - In 2003, film director David Drury cast him in the gangster television serial FAMILY. In 2004, Paul won the small role of 'Clinton' in Saul Dibb's film BULLET BOY.

Since then, Paul has continued to work predominantly in his first love - Theatre on such classics as Shakespeare's THE TEMPEST in the role of 'Gonzalo' - KING LEAR in the role of 'Burgundy' and more recently, JULIUS CEASAR In the role of 'Cassius'.
