Description
English: Detail of the The Mangin–Goerck Plan of 1801 (black lines), showing the area bounded by 6th and 16th Streets, the Bowery and Avenue A – formerly a portion of the estate of New Amsterdam's Governor Peter Stuyvesant. The superimposed red lines are from the 1807 version of the Commissioner's Plan of 1811.
