Summary[edit]

Description
English: In 1893, a group of Odd Fellows in Ohio formed the Imperial Order of Muscovites (IOM) as a fun branch for Odd Fellows. Unlike most fun degrees, the Muscovites opted for a Russian theme. This group was active in different states throughout the Midwest and Western United States, but was disbanded in 1909 due to pressure from the Sovereign Grand Lodge. For a time, re-formed and operated separately under the name Improved Order of Muscovites until it merged with AMOS. However, a portion of the membership in Oregon preserved the degree under the Royal Order of Muscovites. One of the last surviving members of the Royal Order, together with younger candidates, reorganized the group as the Noble Order of Muscovites in 2016.
