"CE BEAU TEMPLE a de longueur 200 pieds de l'Orient à l'Occident. Sa largeur dans l'œuvre est de 84 pieds du Septentrion au Midi. La hauteur de la grande nef est de 40 pieds sous clef."

"CE BEL ÉDIFICE, commencé en l'an 1574 par Nicolas Duchemin, maître Maçon, paraît avoir été environ 32 ans à batir tel qu'il est aujourd'hui; et n'est pas terminer dans son rond-point. Dessiné en 1768..."
