Rather going against what I like, rather than getting an old car, I've ended up with a brand new one! Unfortunately it's just not very easy for me at 19 years of age to insure an older car, plus this one will also be shared with my mum, as she recently sold her Fiat 500C so is left without a car. Just drove it home from the Vauxhall dealership today, and so far I like it. This is a 1.2 16v petrol in the 'Excite' trim level which is roughly middle of the Corsa range. the small engine is a little underpowered, but not massively so, plus I'm no speed demon! Now got 22 miles on the clock after I drove it home. I hope to keep it in this clean condition for as long as possible! Pretty good seats, and comes with USB and Bluetooth and a good Cd player/radio. Note the absence of a tax disc! I haven't got one at the moment but I'm allowed to drive it for 14 days without one- got a piece of paper in case the police stop me! Also got to get a 'black box' fitted soon which is part of the agreement so I can get £99 insurance. If I drive carefully, I can get all my money back which is nice! Note my dad's Focus just sneaking into the side- we like red cars in this house! Hopefully this car will do me well- obviously it's not very interesting to me and all you lot being modern, but it will get me to places (I hope!). It's so new, it doesn't even appear on Cartell, although is just on the DVLA. Pleased to see I got a West country (Bristol) registration. |
