| Description |
English: This is a maize field in the backyard of a Chinhoyi home. It is part of the native Zimbabwean culture for every family to have their own piece of land in with they will get their food from. Maize once harvested can be dried on the roof of a house, and then ground ground into a powder (upfu). This is cooked into Sadza, brewed into beer (doro) or brewed into an energy drink (maheu). The malt on the maize plant (mapfunde) is used as a catalyst when brewing both the doro and maheu. Igbo: Nke a bụ ubi ọka dị n'azụ ụlọ Chinhoyi. Ọ bụ akụkụ nke omenala ndị Zimbabwe maka ezinaụlọ ọ bụla inwe ala nke ha na ha ga-esi nweta nri ha. Enwere ike ịkpọọ ọka ozugbo e wepụtachara ya n'elu ụlọ, wee gbanye ya ka ọ bụrụ ntụ ntụ (upfu). A na-esi ya na Sadza, breed ka ọ bụrụ biya (doro) ma ọ bụ tinye ya n'ime ihe ọṅụṅụ ike (maheu). A na-eji malt dị n'osisi ọka (mapfunde) eme ihe dị ka ihe na-akpali akpali mgbe a na-emepụta ma doro na maheu.
